Kajaking and Canoeing
Poland is full of beautiful waterways, clean rivers and old but well maintained canals ideal for canoeing and kayaking, it’s a popular sport and there are a number of very well organised providers offering weekend trips, group holidays excellent for meeting new people, kajak and equipment rental.
As a guide, for white water go south towards the mountainous regions. For more relaxed kayaking choose the northern lake regions, are great for all the family, peaceful, beautiful and unspoilt scenery.
There are a specialist canoe and kayak companies based in Augustów offering canoe hire as well as organised trips throughout the Mazury Polish lake district, including trips down the Czarna Hancza and Rospuda rivers. Let them know when you want to arrive and how long you want to stay, they will be happy to reply to any emails in English.
