Woodworking & Carpentry Holidays
There are woodworking courses available for beginners and advanced students, the workshops are generally for small groups with qualified one to one assistance. Courses often include the option to make your own woodwork project during the workshop.
Types of Woodwork & Carpentry Workshops
Courses include carpentry for beginners, basic hand tool skills, woodcarving, woodturning, furniture/cabinet-making, use of power tools, traditional woodworking skills, joinery etc.
During these courses you can learn techniques such as constructing joints, dovetails and simple frames, how to use tools like chisels, saws, planes, spoke-shaves and hand routers, as well as modern power tools, you may also request advice on the best tools to purchase.
Health & safety equipment and the use of tools and materials are usually included.
There are a really large range of different carpentry courses available, we have only listed some of the ones we found and have not tested any of them.
You should contact the course representatives directly, to discuss your requirements, expectations and costs, in many cases you can make payment on arrival, we don’t recommend making payments in advance unless you are entirely confident.
